Hey- you guys should make a daily drawing instead of weekly drawing. There would be more chances to win for everyone, thus more interest. Break up the $250 weekly prize into $35 daily prizes. What does the list think ???

I see the STL as a tool for finding a previous discussion of a suggestion, even if it's not especially popular.

7 daily prizes would essentially be equivalent to a weekly drawing for 7 prizes instead of one. Although I'm OK with the idea of changing the way the prize money is distributed (and I've made my own suggestions about it), scoutmaster's point seems valid -- dividing it too many ways will create new problems / more work.

Bad idea.

Maybe we should vote in these threads and not add to an already long list unless there are at least some interest in the idea.

A daily drawing would be too much work and then people would be complaining even more about the winners not being posted fast enough.

Bad idea. I'm with the previous posters. Looks as if you are only here for the chance of winning, not helping others. As Gas Buddy mentioned, you've been a member for several months and have just 33,070 points. You should have well over 100,000 points now if you fully participated daily.

I understand that by having 7 drawings instead of 1 there's a greater chance that more people will win, but did you (and do you think others) join this website to win a prize? And if you did, are you actually going to make it a point to participate in this website 7 days a wtheeek, hoping you don't miss an opportunity to win $35 worth of gas? You actually expect daily participation for a smaller prize?

However, even if you did join Gas Buddy to win the weekly drawing, because you're interested in attracting daily participation in order to win the drawin, you've been a member for four months; you've got about 33,000 points. That's about what you could earn in a month of participation. It seems like you're taking advantage of getting all the points you can, in order to win the drawing as is. Why should you (and it's not said cynically) participate more than you are now for a price only one-seventh what it currently is?

Ahat I think is, a daily drawing would create too much additonal work for the organization. I think most people will complain the prize isn't worth the effort of participation. I think people will start new topics of discussion suggesting that the prize be increased to something larger, to at least make the card worth at least one full tank of gas.

Sorry, but since you asked, I don't think it's a good idea.
